FMP Notebook No. 1 was created for people who actually write with fountain pens every day. It is a quiet, minimalist A5 notebook built around one thing: making ink feel controlled, smooth and reliable on paper.

The paper was selected after testing 864 different types of paper with multiple fountain pens, nib sizes and inks. After eight months of testing and refinement, the final choice became a 140 gsm paper that keeps writing clean, readable and pleasant from the first page to the last.

Why it exists

Most notebooks look good until a fountain pen touches the page. Ink can feather, bleed through, dry too slowly or shift colour in a way that changes the writing experience. This notebook was made to solve that problem without becoming precious or over-designed.

The exposed spine helps the notebook stay open from the first page, so it works comfortably on a desk, in a meeting or during longer writing sessions.

Sustainability

The notebook is made from FSC-certified paper. The cover uses natural FSC paper without chemical dyes, and the notebook is not wrapped in plastic or filled with unnecessary inserts.
