Opened in 2022 beside Montblanc’s headquarters and writing instrument manufacture, Montblanc Haus is a place devoted to the history, craft and culture of writing. Its distinctive dark architecture has quickly become one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world of fine writing instruments.

This linocut captures the building through strong contrasts and carefully carved lines, with the silhouette of the Mont Blanc mountain becoming part of the architecture itself. The result is deliberately minimal, graphic and unmistakably connected to the world of writing.

Each artwork begins as a hand-carved linoleum block and is individually printed using traditional linocut techniques. Small variations in ink, texture and impression are therefore part of the artwork rather than imperfections — no two prints are exactly identical.

For fountain pen collectors, Montblanc Haus is more than simply a building. It stands beside the place where Montblanc writing instruments are created and preserves the stories, craftsmanship and heritage surrounding handwriting.
