Ink Happens is a handmade 100 ml ceramic coffee mug created for fountain pen lovers, writers, and anyone whose desk usually involves some combination of notebooks, ink bottles and coffee.

The mug is handmade by my wife as part of the ceramic collection created for Follow My Pen. From working with the clay to glazing and firing, the entire process is done by hand in small batches.

The simple “Ink happens” message is a small inside joke for anyone who has ever filled a fountain pen, cleaned a nib, or discovered an unexpected drop of ink exactly where it should not be.

Because sometimes you create beautiful handwriting. Sometimes ink ends up on your fingers. And sometimes you need coffee before dealing with either.
