My wife is passionate about ceramics, and together we designed Inkfjord — a minimalist, one-of-a-kind ceramic pen tray created as a quiet companion to the writing ritual.
Inkfjord is inspired by the meeting of stone, water, and ink. Its surface carries a speckled, mineral texture that evokes Nordic fjords — calm, deep, and shaped slowly by time. In natural light, the glaze subtly shifts in tone, moving from cool blue to blue-green hues, making each moment and each angle feel slightly different.
The new slim minimalist design features a single, elongated groove that comfortably accommodates even the largest fountain pens, including oversized models such as the Namiki Emperor and other substantial writing instruments. The open surface leaves space for small essentials — nibs, clips, or a tiny ink vial — without disturbing the pen’s visual balance.
The gently irregular shape and tactile glaze ensure that no two pieces are ever the same. Each Inkfjord tray is entirely handmade, carrying natural variations that make it uniquely yours.
